Taking this couple’s engagement photos at this Napa Valley Private Estate was such a treat!
A lovely engaged couple, walking around this beautiful countryside, overlooking the Napa Valley, enjoying all of the promise of spring- this is what we refer to as the perfect setting. Photography is a blend of light, setting, and subject. This was one of those sessions where all of the elements came together just perfectly. Kathryn and Mario are an amazing couple that will be getting married later this year, but on this day we wanted to capture them as a couple, in love, before they get married. When we arrived we were taken to a piece of land that is being developed into vineyards. Every part of this property has incredible potential and is being groomed to become nothing short of world class. We couldn’t have thought of a better setting for a great couple, just starting out, with big plans of their own.
This session mixes the colorful blooms of spring, the wild hills of Ruthorford, against a backdrop of the perfectly groomed valley floor. Giant Oaks grow old surrounded by boulders that have been on this land since the valley formed. The warm sunset spilled beautiful light all around, and Kathryn and Mario had no trouble showing their love for each other. They were completely comfortable and honestly so adoring toward each other. It was natural and fun for them to be in each other’s presence. Several times during this photo shoot we were amazed at how beautiful this landscape and the views were. We hope that from these photos, you can get a glimpse of just how beautiful everything really was, and that the photos CLEARLY show how in love these two are.
Katie and Mario, thank you for spending your evening with us, and showing us some of your favorite places to see. As Scott said at our shoot, “I am (we are) already excited for your future together”!
