Our 2018 Wedding Season Highlights – A Weddings by Scott & Dana Year- End Review (PART B).
A little over a week ago I posted a blog with some of the highlights from the first half our 2018 weddings season (here’s a link to it), and I promised that I’d follow up with the second half. HERE IT IS!
It’s going to be difficult to top 2018. Here’s a little summary of our year:
Scott and I definitely settled into Northern California, and put down some roots. We left our downtown Sacramento loft and bought a house as well as a car, and embraced life in the suburbs. Our new little house is divine, and driving a car that is in good shape (EVERYTHING WORKS INCLUDING THE CRUISE CONTROL!) has been such a stress reliever.
We took on our first interns, Devon and Brooke. They began working with us last summer and they’ll be shooting with us for 15 weddings this coming season. It’s been SO fun to watch them grow! They’ve launched their own photography business and have already shot many portrait sessions and have their first 2 weddings booked this coming season.
We shot the most weddings we ever have in a single season, totaling 39 weddings. Those weddings were in 17 different cities and at 35 different venues.
I thought it might be fun to do the math on how many miles we drove to shoot these weddings. So I added it up and I was suprised to see that we drove over FIVE THOUSAND miles this past year traveling to JUST weddings and back home.
5,016, to be exact, according to my calculations. WOW. That doesn’t count the travel to the engagement sessions, which most of our couples do book.
Here is a taste of the second half of the season, and again I apologize for not doing a better job of paring these images down. I hope they put a smile on your face. 🙂
