This wedding was stunningly beautiful- just simply PERFECT. One of the things we can’t get over is how much we loved Megan’s champagne bridal gown by Allure Bridals. Seriously AMAZING. The oh-so-subtle champagne pink, paired with Nate’s grey suit, really was the key piece that brought everything together just beautifully, and set the tone for simple elegance. You’ll see in the images that we might be just a little bit obsessed….
Scott and I met Megan when she was 9 years old. We had just moved to Las Vegas from California, and Megan’s family had just moved back from Australia. Our kids were fast friends with Megan and her siblings, as they were all new at the same elementary school. Megan has ALWAYS been a very sweet and adorable girl and we have watched her grow into an AWESOME grown-up. About 4 years ago I had the privilege of shooting Megan’s senior portraits. At that time, she said to me “I’m going to hire you to shoot my wedding someday when I get married.” I remember chuckling to myself…. and thinking “well, if only I wanted to shoot weddings”. Little did I know that a few short months following that shoot, I would get the itch to shoot weddings. Who knows, maybe Megan had a little something to do with that. Megan is the first good friend of our kids we have gotten to shoot a wedding for. The first time we saw Meg in her wedding gown, I unexpectedly lost it. She looked so beautiful! Until then, we hadn’t met Nate yet, but in just a few short minutes we could tell that he was a sweetheart too, and it made us happy to know that Megan had found her match. Because it was a Mormon wedding, we couldn’t be at the ceremony, but I think that’s probably a good thing, because I may have been a teary mess.
We really treasured shooting this wedding. Getting to see and be a part of all the love that Megan and Nate have been blessed with between their friends and their great families, was a truly wonderful experience. A lot of work went into the details to create a beautiful wedding reception, and you’ll see it was worth it!
